MFI Real Estate and Escobedo Construction have partnered on a multi-purpose community development project in East Austin located on MLK Boulevard. Their goal in developing the land and donating part of it to three notable nonprofit organizations was to fulfill the Chestnut Neighborhood Plan, the first ever adopted by the City of Austin. The plan identified seven issues of concern: transportation, environment, housing, economic development, public safety youth and health. MWA was retained to develop and implement their community engagement strategy and build support and awareness around the project cerca qui.
